Talking about the “China Girl” or “China Man” or “Any Foreign Worker”? Do you remember talking about that? Joking about that? Started a conversation about that? Or complaining about?

I guess many did and some may just want to do some good by keeping it to themselves. But ever understand about their story? Ever wonder why they left their country? To a unfamiliar place. To a society that isn’t friendly towards them. To a society that may not have total good impression of them.

The reason is simple but hard to understand. The means to survive. The means to support their family member and even to just find a job. Just such a simple reason but no one can really understand how difficult it is to face this reality, this harsh facts of life and this unfair treatment of the society!

Many fortunate people like all of us, people using the Internet day and night, so freely has everything we need and anything we want. But we are still finding fault in our life, complaining about the difficult days in school with overloading projects and tests. Does thing unwillingly whenever we like or even measure and calculate everything in such details to ensure you don’t lose out. No worries, no unfair treatment, no harsh reality to accept and even also no hurry to worry about your future. Since everything is in process and order…

I see them and I understand what is call desperate for survivor! They beg to keep the job, they work all day long for just that bit of money and they write “Reflection letters” with statements like “Please don’t send me back.” to their bosses to apology for minor mistake that many locals can just forget the next day. I question myself for being lazy. The reason to depend on others when I have everything that take to do it myself. The reason to do badly. The reason to give up. The reason to push blames!

As many would now know that I am sick for a few days, I have lost track on the things that I need to do, need to catch up and need to finish! I have no memories of what I learnt from the start of the semester! And I just know the name of the modules I took. And that’s all…

Feeling ashamed! Feeling disappointed at myself! I slapped myself. Calling silently in me to wake up! Telling myself that it isn’t my world! It will be the harsh reality that I need to face.

I appoint such, woke up with a uncertain determination. And wonder how long would it last…
